Chinese Club It Denies Will Bring Ancelotti
Tianjin Quanjian has denied interest in appointing Carlo Ancelotti as their head coach. As is known, Ancelotti recently dumped from Bayern Munich.
The Italian coach was fired by Bayern last week after his side suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League. Since then, he has been linked with a lucrative transfer to the Chinese Super League.
Former Bayern star Mario Basler claimed in September that Ancelotti had a pre-contract deal with the CSL club. And it increasingly opens its chances to fly to China.
Rumor has emerged that Tianjin has been considering replacing Fabio Cannavaro with Ancelotti. But the club’s owner, Shu Yuhui, said that his club had no intention of doing so.
When asked about Ancelotti, he told Tianjin TV: “I have not considered changing our coach, at least for now. We (Cannavaro and I) have a good partnership and there is unity between us. ”
“We have not played well in the last two games and I know how dizzy Cannavaro is. He even told his players that the half-year effort had been shattered by their weak mentality, “he added.
“Cannavaro worked very hard and he really wants his team to get good results so that it can bring happiness to our fans. I really like him and I hope with the experience he gets in Quanjian he can continue to improve himself and in the future develop into the best coach in the world, “Shu continued.
Ancelotti has said that he does not plan to tackle other clubs until next season. Cannavaro’s side have suffered defeats in their last two games, including a 4-1 defeat in a game against Tianjin Teda.
They are currently sitting fourth in the standings after 26 games, trailing 14 points behind leaders Evergrande Taobao of China.
Ancelotti himself as a coach already has a myriad of experiences in the highest competition. He once brought AC Milan and Real Madrid won the Champions League title. (Source: Four Four Two)
